You'll be introduced to Glasgow's local retrofit co-operative, Loco Home Retrofit CIC, and hear case studies from members in the wider area who have made energy efficiency upgrades, such as installing insulation and a heat pump.

Loco Home Open Members' Meeting
In-personLoco Home is a cooperative of 300 Glasgow households and construction professionals. Members' meetings offer mutual support and input on co-op development. During Glasgow Retrofit Action Week, the meeting is open to all for a glimpse into the retrofit community.

OnlineThis 1 hour Lunch 'n' Learn will explore why retrofitting Scotland's iconic tenements is vital for tenants as well as the transition to net zero: Scotland's tenements, especially Glasgow's pre-1919 sandstone homes, face retrofit challenges due to poor conditions and high energy costs. Addressing these issues is vital for Scotland's 2045 net-zero goal and offers opportunities for the retrofit sector. - Jonathan Atkinson - Business Director of People Powered Retrofit, a not-for-profit service for householders in Greater Manchester. He leads PPRs project within the UK Government's Green Home Finance Accelerator, working with a ABCUL and the Sound Pound consortium of Greater Manchester Credit Unions.

A great event to attend. Met an awful lot of interesting people from a lot of different backgrounds, social housing providers, contractors, installers. It's particularly useful to see how different people can speak to each other about retrofit

Nice and compact…plenty of time to have a good chat with everyone - met some good people and you see the highlights. The workshops were very interesting which led to making some good relationships with architects and different builders and stuff that's going to be a good working relationship going forward

My main takeaway today was meeting the guys on the CITB training stall - that was absolutely outstanding

I think strengthening the kind of network of contacts and the retrofit industry in the Northwest was the most important thing for us. Meeting contractors and people who are interested in pushing retrofit forward, whether that be social housing providers, whether that be community groups, that sort of thing - looking at how it can be done at scale
